R3-B62

While a genuine R3 engine, it is not the engine that it had installed at Bonneville.  Jon Myer supplied B62 for the car at a much later date.  The original engine overheated at Bonneville allowing the #9 car to take the records.  The R3 was removed at some point and I believe an R2 was installed for some years.

Thanks for using some of the photos I took of the car when I discovered it had been sitting in a shop near me for years.

While much has been written about the #9 Bonneville Avanti, relatively little has been written on this #8 car.

I'd REALLY like to see an 'in depth' article, (with lots of pics), done on this #8 Bonneville Avanti, hopefully in the near future!
