  • Please note that these activities are subject to change with, or without, notice! Should an event be cancelled for whatever reason you will receive a prompt refund. Any changes, or additions or deletions to this schedule of AOAI 2002 "Studebaker Sesquicentennial" Avanti Meet will be published in the Avanti magazine, and if possible, on the various Internet "Avanti" computer websites or pages the AOAI has access to.
  • Many AOAI members requested we have our Avanti Awards Banquet at the Tippecanoe Place Restaurant like we did at the 1997 AOAI Avanti Meet. Frankly, we taxed that facility to the limit with our 160+ guests. If early response is any indicator this meet may draw nearly double the meet patrons of 1997! You will note I’m planning two informal dinners on Tuesday and Friday nights during the weeklong meet. You will all pay for your own dinners off the menu, we plan a brief tour of the historic Clement Studebaker home and each participant will receive a special, additional, dash plaque to commemorate this event. I plan to reserve 40-50 seats for each night’s dinner in a common, or adjoining section of Tippecanoe Place. The reason for two separate nights is to allow the participation in the AOAI Fellowship Dinner by AOAI members who have plans to attend the Friday night SDC Awards Dinner.
Don’t miss the opportunity to once again experience the historic and rich ambience of this famed restaurant and to enjoy it with the friendship and camaraderie of your fellow AOAI members and Avanti owners!
  • Finally, I specifically left Monday and Tuesday sparse of AOAI events to allow our AOAI members to enjoy the SDC’s huge swap meet – as vendors at recent past meets have tended to dwindle in numbers as the meet, and its activities, neared the events’ conclusion.
